Accident Insurance
Employees and students from kindergarten to university automatically have accident insurance with the General Accident Insurance Institution (AUVA). Self-employed persons are insured through the SVS.
General
For employees, this insurance only covers accidents that occur at work or on the way to work, as well as all occupational illnesses. For students, all injuries that are causally related to education are covered. For international students, insurance coverage depends on their residence status. You can also apply for supplementary insurance from the AUVA if you prefer more coverage.
