E-Mobility
In total, there are over 5,500 publicly accessible charging points and over 123,000 fully electric vehicles in Austria.
In a European comparison, Austria ranks among the top 10 with 56 public charging points per 100,000 inhabitants.
The e-charging station finder ladestellen.at shows all public charging stations in Austria, including charging points from energy companies, supermarkets and hotels.
There is a special number plate for purely electrically powered vehicles and hydrogen vehicles (white background, green lettering). The e-license plate is optional, so it is up to each e-vehicle owner to decide whether to choose an e-license plate or a "normal" license plate. However, if you want to benefit from any local concessions, you will need an e-license plate.
