The TALENT HUB for Austrian companies

14. August 2024

The WORK in AUSTRIA Talent Hub is ABA's latest online service. This job and CV platform brings companies in Austria together with international specialists. Austrian companies can introduce themselves free of charge on the Talent Hub, publish their job adverts and network with suitable skilled workers. If suitable candidates are found, WORK in AUSTRIA also provides further support with questions regarding the employment of foreign nationals and issues relating to living and working in Austria.

The Talent Hub is aimed at the following international skilled workers:

  •  Qualified professionals from abroad (EU, EEA and third-country nationals),

  • international students at Austrian universities and

  • Austrians from abroad and their partners.

WORK in AUSTRIA specifically draws their attention to the Talent Hub at events, career fairs at universities and educational institutions in our target countries and in Austria, as well as through digital marketing.

Companies are invited to register and create their own free account. Access to your company's user profile can be made available to several people. This enables a targeted search for skilled workers’ profiles and each co-user can create their own preferences.

The company account

The company account offers the following functions:

  • Presentation of your company and creation of a company profile

  • Publication of job adverts for your company

  • Display of suitable specialist profiles with the qualifications you are looking for

  • Search in the published skilled workers’ profiles, also according to the criteria of the ESCO classification system

  • Highlighting interesting skilled workers’ profiles and saving them in your own notebook on the Talent Hub

  • Information about which professionals are interested in your job adverts and your company profile

  • Contacting interesting professionals via the Talent Hub message centre

It is up to you which functions you want to use on the Talent Hub. The Talent Hub allows you to change your password or delete your company account at any time.

Your job adverts

Your job adverts on the Talent Hub

  •  are publicly accessible and can be found by any interested skilled worker. Each job advert also introduces your company and refers to other jobs that your company currently has published on the Talent Hub.

  • By clicking on the ‘Apply directly’ button, interested professionals can write to you directly by e-mail or contact you via your internal application portal, depending on the setting you have chosen.

  • Job adverts can be published in German and English. Professionals can use a Google Translate plugin to automatically translate job adverts and company profiles into their preferred languages.

  • A Google Maps plugin immediately shows interested professionals where the job is located. A selectable button to Wikipedia provides information on the place of work at the click of a button to give the skilled worker an initial overview.

  • Job adverts can also be automatically imported into the Talent Hub via an API interface if required. This is a particularly relevant option if you want to publish a large number of vacancies.

The match between job advert and qualified specialists

The ‘match’ between a job advert and the skilled worker’s qualifications is based on the ESCO taxonomy (ESCO = ‘European Skills, Competences and Occupations’). The special feature of ESCO is the international and multilingual definition of required skills, competences and qualifications, which are necessary for most professions worldwide and thus also allow skilled workers from other countries and with other types of training to match with Austrian jobs and their requirements.

Have we piqued your interest in the Talent Hub?
